2024 School Kits! The goal was 100 school kits... we packed 103 kits! YAHOOOOOO!  Thank you to all!
  • Imagine having to choose between a meal or purchasing a notebook. Project Promise School Kits, through Lutheran World Relief, are sent to places where even the few required  school supplies may be more than a family can afford. Pencils and paper can help write a positive future. Back to school ads are starting to appear so this is a good time to get the best buys on items for the kits. There will be a collection bin in the church entrance.
Each kit includes the following items:
  • Four notebooks (280-300 sheets total) wide or college-ruled 8" x 101/2". No loose-leaf paper.
  • One 30 centimeter ruler, or inches on one side and centimeters
    on the other side.
  • One pencil sharpener
  • One pair of blunt scissors
  • Five unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers 
  • One 2 1/2" eraser
  • Five black or blue ballpoint pens (no gel inks) 
  • One box of 16 or 24 crayons
