Discovery Wednesday

 
DISCOVERY WEDNESDAY IS BACK!
Discovery Wednesday starts again on October 2nd from 3:30-5:00 pm. We will be working on woodworking projects the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th. Use your creativity and learn to use power tools under adult supervision. If you’ve joined us before, sign up again! You can create something new!! If you want to try it for the first time sign up through Nevis Community Education. It’s open to all 3rd through 6th grade students.
Several people have signed up to help with our woodworking projects, but we can always use more. The more help means the better supervision for the kids and building some great relationships!!


The kids are always hungry after school! There is a sign-up sheet for providing snacks. Anything that is easy to serve and not too messy. Plan on about 20 servings.


In November we will have a new papermaking project; Paper bowls! After we make the paper pulp, we will add pulp strips to inflated balloons and after they are dried, we will decorate them. Can’t wait to see the creations! We will meet November 6th, 13th and 20th only.
